TechX Program Guide & Admissions Policy

1. Program Overview

Welcome to TechX! Our mission is to give early-career engineers the hands-on experience they need to tackle real-world problems. Over 10 to 12 weeks, you’ll be paired with an industry mentor, join a focused project team, and deliver production-grade work, just as you would at a tech company.

2. Internship Experience & Value

Our internship is structured like a professional role, complete with team stand-ups, code reviews, deliverables, and feedback loops. You’ll work on real projects, collaborate with mentors, and adhere to industry best practices—so you can confidently list this experience under “Work Experience” on your resume. While unpaid, we maintain all the standards of an employment environment to ensure your contributions are recognized by future employers.

Note: This internship is an educational experience and does not constitute employment. Participants are not employees of TechX Labs, Inc., and are not eligible for wages or employee benefits.

3. Who We Accept

  • Pursuing or holding a degree in CS, EE, or related STEM field (or equivalent self-taught experience)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with at least one programming language
  • Eager to solve complex problems in an agile, collaborative environment
  • Able to dedicate 15–20 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks

4. Application Review Process

  1. Resume Screening (1–2 business days): We review your resume, portfolio, and background materials to ensure fit with our program and projects.
  2. Optional Technical Exercise (3–5 business days): If needed, you may be invited to complete a brief coding challenge or share a project sample to showcase your skills.
  3. Decision Notification (by email): All applicants receive next-step instructions.

5. What If You’re Not Accepted?

Didn’t make it into the internship this time? We’ve got you covered:

  • TechX Foundation Program: A smaller cohort with extra coaching, weekly workshops, and curated learning paths. Ideal for building up your portfolio and technical confidence before re-applying.
